My journey has always been about people.

 

From my Louisiana roots to the classrooms, counseling offices, and leadership spaces I've occupied, I've built my career around one belief: when people are given the right support, opportunities, and tools, they can accomplish extraordinary things.

 

As an educator, counselor, researcher, and organizational leader, I've spent years working alongside students, families, professionals, and communities. Along the way, I've learned that meaningful change requires more than good intentions. It takes intentional leadership, culturally relevant practices, and systems designed to help people succeed.

My experiences have taken me from teaching in the classroom to leading mentoring initiatives, supporting vulnerable students and families, conducting research, and developing programs that create lasting opportunities.

Each chapter has shaped how I approach leadership, learning, and organizational change.

Today, through SavvyHER Consulting, I bring those experiences together to help individuals and organizations move beyond ideas and into meaningful action. My work is grounded in the HER Framework™: Hold Space. Educate Minds. Reimagine Systems.
